If you're lacking in a little energy as autumn creeps up on you, Elsa Perez is definitely your answer. 82 years young, Elsa is filled with boundless vitality and the dance moves of a 20 year old which she is rather keen to share with you.
Join Elsa and Afrika Eye in an evening of Latin American Dance. Starting with 'Get Riel' a short film about Elsa and her colourful life, with Q&A, followed by a Latin American Dance workshop. This class is suitable for all ages (whether you are 18 or 90+) and wheelchair and chair based dancers.
"Elsa brings a joy and energy to dance, which transcends her age and shines a light on the creative spirit and ageing positively."
In her eighty-two years Elsa has danced around the world, exploring the dances of South America, the Caribbean, Spain, Portugal and her own South Africa. A founder member of the Notting Hill Carnival, she has recently been awarded prestigious membership of the Council of International Dance – UNESCO.
