CREATIVE CHALLENGES TIMETABLE: Activities will be ongoing throughout the week, specific workshops will run at the designated times

TUESDAY 10^th:

10.00 - 12.30 Introduction to Zine - these are self-published booklets that contain original writing and drawings that you can photocopy and distribute. We will be creating Zines in response to the theme of Create Your Own World! We will teach you how to fold and put together the zine as well as give you some creative questions to consider.
10.00 - 12.30 Introduction to Creating an Exhibition - from the initial planning, designing flyers, choosing a title selecting and framing work right through to the hanging and final presentation.

WEDNESDAY 11^th:

14.30 - 16.30 Making a Micro World - this will be a work in progress during the week and beyond. There will be a series of wooden bases cut in different shapes and sizes to represent islands on simple bases at waist height and a selection of materials to make all kinds of buildings, creatures and vehicles to inhabit these islands. The world will grow organically with time and space given both to serious ecological ideas as well as the more bizarre and unusual.
14.30 - 16.30 Studio Photography - formal/informal portraits, still life, general photography skills

THURSDAY 12^th:

10.00 - 12.30 Stone Carving - techniques and practice with slate
13.00 - 15.00 Samba Drumming - learn to play samba rhythms as part of a group of drummers! We'll play some Afro-Brazilian percussion on different drums, incorporating a little bit of dance movement too. No musical experience is required, anyone can join in!

10.00 - 13.00 Writing Workshop
13.30 - 16.30 Open Mic + Exhibition Launch
