Tribe of Doris is creating a South West Diverse Artists Network, where we can share experiences & create an action plan for improving diverse representation in mainstream arts.

The need for this network was identified through consultation with different artists from diverse backgrounds and those who are passionate about a particular cultural artform. This launch meeting will be the first of two meetings and is co-funded by the Arts Council & Platforma.

We aim to facilitate empowering dialogue within the culturally diverse arts sector to improve representation in mainstream arts provision, bringing funders, venues, promoters and artists together.

The day will feature discussions & guest speakers including:
Dr Edson Burton (Bristol creative & project co-ordinator @ the Trinity Centre)
 Matt Little (Real Ideas Organisation)
Latisha Cesar (a Hawaiian dancer living in the UK)
 Zahra Ash-Harper (Pervasive Media Studios)
Jay Singh (a young musician, DJ and entrepreneur).

Arrive any time from - 9:30am
 Speakers & Discussion - Prompt 10:15am start
 Lunch is 12:45am - 1:15pm
