The opening celebrations of Kingsley Hall to be used as the headquarters of the Independent Labour Party, took place on 23/24 September 1911, and was attended by Keir Hardie MP and Mrs Hardie. Within the programme of the event, it was stated that Kingsley Hall should be “the home of the working-class movement in all its phases”
