Gardening
Join the team as a volunteer in our community garden
We're looking for green-fingered volunteers to join our team to help us maintain and cultivate our Community Garden.
Trinity’s Community Garden has been delivering regular classes and gardening sessions for a range of ages and groups since 2007. The garden is also used for a range of activities and events, including our annual garden party and fireworks party.
We are looking for someone passionate about community, nature and the environment who enjoys the outdoors to take part in monthly volunteer days, or to come along to support the team for a few hours each week.
We grow all our produce organically and adopt a permaculture-approach as much as possible. We have a polytunnel, an orchard, raised beds and kitchen garden full of culinary and medicinal plants.
You do not need any prior experience in gardening as all training will be provided just a keen interest to learn and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Key tasks include:
- Weeding, pruning, watering and tidying the beds and polytunnel
- Checking the health of plants by identifying any pests or diseases and controlling them
- Planing out seeds, applying nutrients and harvesting
Rewards for regular Garden Volunteers include guest list access to events of your choice at the venue, access to discounts and you'll be able to take home fruit and vegetables harvested.
To apply, email info@trinitybristol.org.uk with a summary of any relevant experience and your availability.
