Reception
We're looking for people who love people and communities to join our Team as a Volunteer on our Reception.
Volunteers are there to provide informaton and signposting to daytime visitors of the Centre.
As a Volunteer on our Reception, you will alongside our Office Team acting as a visible and welcoming first point of contact for people coming to the Venue, signposting people to areas of the building and making sure people sign in-and-out when attending an activity or meeting.
We run a wide range of activities from dance classes, weddings, parties, public forums, music events, cultural celebrations and more. This role is ideal if you want to get out and meet new people, and it's a great way to find out about the other activities we run.
Our office hours are 9am-6pm Monday-Saturday and volunteers can take part for a 4hrs (half a day) per week, for between 3-6 months or longer, depending on your circumstances.
Key tasks include:
- welcoming staff, visitors and hirers
- ensuring all building users sign in and out of the building for fire safety
- providing general information and assistance to visitors
